In January and February 2013 the Environment Committee conducted a survey to get input from members on current and future use of the rooftop and green roof options. This was a follow up to an initial survey done in 2010 when the committee started working on plans.
A total of 87 members responded and almost everyone plans to use the rooftop in the future. Over half of the members who responded expressed interest in gardening on the rooftop.
Detailed survey responses are available here: Survey Results Final
Responses are still coming in. As of February 3rd over 70 people had returned surveys.
The majority of those people had used the penthouse roof top more than 10 times. 36 people are willing to help out with watering the gardens, and 34 would be interested in having a garden plot.
Thanks everyone, and thanks to Catherine Young for putting the results together. Here are the links to the details:
The Green Roof / Environment Committee is collecting input from members.
Please fill out a copy of the Green Roof survey. Surveys can be submitted in the envelopes marked Completed Green Roof Forms found in the ground floor laundry room, lobby, photocopy room, 3rd floor, 5th floor, 7th floor and penthouse laundry room. Blank surveys can be picked up at any of the locations listed.
Information gathered will help us plan and make our case for funding applications. Interim results will be brought to the Input and Info Session on February 3rd, but the survey will remain open until Feb 10th.
Thanks for participating.
