Woodsworth Housing Co-op is excited to present its first-ever arts festival, Journée Blanche, on Saturday, October 5th! The event aims to showcase the incredible talent within the co-op, highlighting the creativity of its members through various artworks, including photographs, paintings, poems, books, puppets, films, and more, many of which will be available for art lovers to purchase. As a celebration of co-op life, this festival not only strengthens the community by bringing neighbours together, but also serves as a window for those outside the co-op to see how vibrant and connected co-op living can be. To kick off the tours of the exhibits, a live performance by a trio of musicians will set the tone for a day filled with artistic discovery. Events like Journée Blanche embody the spirit of the co-op housing movement by fostering community connections, mutual support, and shared experiences that strengthen the bonds within the co-op and highlight the vibrancy of co-operative living.
